Dr. Lipo WANG’s research interest is computational intelligence with applications to bioinformatics, data mining, optimization, and image processing. He is (co-)author of over 200 papers and holds a U.S. patent. He has co-authored 2 monographs and (co-)edited 15 books. He has been keynote speaker for several international conferences. He is/was Associate Editor/Editorial Board Member of 20 international journals, including IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks, IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, and IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation. He is an elected member of the AdCom (Board of Governors, 2010-2012) of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) and served as IEEE CIS Vice President for Technical Activities (2006-2007). He is an elected member of the Board of Governors of the International Neural Network Society (2011-2013). He was President of the Asia-Pacific Neural Network Assembly (APNNA) in 2002/2003 and received the 2007 APNNA Excellent Service Award.

Prof. Pascal LORENZ received his M.Sc. (1990) and Ph.D. (1994) from the University of Nancy, France. Between 1990 and 1995 he was a research engineer at WorldFIP Europe and at Alcatel-Alsthom. He is a professor at the University of Haute-Alsace, France, since 1995. His research interests include QoS, wireless networks and high-speed networks .He is the author/co-author of 3 books, 2 patents and 200 international publications in refereed journals and conferences. He was Technical Editor of the IEEE Communications Magazine Editorial Board (2000-2006), Chair of Vertical Issues in Communication Systems Technical Committee Cluster (2008-2009), Chair of the Communications Systems Integration and Modeling Technical Committee (2003-2009) and Chair of the Communications Software Technical Committee (2008-2010). He is Co-Program Chair of ICC'04 and WCNC'12, tutorial chair of WCNC'10 and symposium Co-Chair at Globecom 2009-2007 and ICC 2009-2008. He has served as Co-Guest Editor for special issues of IEEE Communications Magazine, Networks Magazine, Wireless Communications Magazine, Telecommunications Systems and LNCS. He is senior member of the IEEE and member of many international program committees. He has organized many conferences, chaired several technical sessions and gave tutorials at major international conferences. |

Prof. Firkhan Ali HAMID ALI is a Lecturer in the Information and Communication Technology at Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia. He is also head of computer networking panel at the faculty. He has published widely in the areas of Computer Networking, Information Security and Information Technology. He has researched, consulted and taught in the area of Information and Communication Technology since in 1999. He has been head of Judges Panel in Malaysian-ASEAN Myskills Competition for 2010 in field of IT PC Network. He has been member of Malaysia Industry Expert in IT02-00, Information and Communication Technology with registration number J083 by Department of Skills Development, Ministry of Human Resources for 2009 - 2011. |

Prof. Francis CASTANIE was born in 1947. He got his Ph. D and its Doctorate of Sciences degree from National Polytechnics Institute of Toulouse (INPT) respectively in 1971 and 1977. He joined the Engineering school ENSEEIHT in 1970 as a research assistant, and becomes a Lecturer, then a Professor resp. in 1974 and 1980. He is presently a professor in the same institution. He teaches essentially Signal Processing at the undergraduate and graduate level. He gives several doctoral courses in the following topics : Time-Frequency and Wavelet Analysis, Parametric Signal and Time Series Modeling, Digital Signal Processing. He is responsible for a Doctoral Studies Center in Signal, Images and Acoustics, with gathers 4 Higher Education Institutions (one University and 3 Engineering Schools) in the Toulouse area. With respect to his research involvement, he was a head of group from 1978, and has become Director of Electronics Laboratory of ENSEEIHT (LEN7) from 1983 to 1996. This research laboratory was composed in that period of more than 100 research workers, including 40 permanent staff and 60 Ph.D. students. He then devoted his efforts to create, with others, a Cooperative Laboratory in Telecommunications for Space and Aeronautics, involving 9 laboratories, 2 major industries and 2 institutions in this domain. Prof. Castanie is now the Director of this Laboratory (TeSA) which started his activity in 1999. Together with this activity in TeSA, he joined the CNRS Institut de Recherche en Informatique de Toulouse (IRIT) in 2002, where his heading the Signal and Communication Group. From the beginning of his career, he has been involved in Signal Processing, mainly in Digital Signal Processing and Parametric Signal Modeling, with a particular attention to Automatic Recognition. His research interests have moved to Wavelet decomposition with application to change detection in Stochastic Processes, and to Neural Network processing, with a special emphasis on time series and signal modeling. A today's major application domain of his activity in this latter theme is the Satellite Mobile Communication Domain, with a special involvement in Identification and Equalization of Non Linear and Time Varying Communication Channels. For his activity in Mobile Communications, Prof. F. Castanie has been a coordinator in European Research project (ACTS program) and has served as an Expert of the EEC in various programs. He has several responsibilities in research societies at the national level (SEE) and at the international level : he had been Chairman of the French Chapter of Signal Processing of the IEEE, from 1992 to 2002. |

He also carries various awards like Computer Wizard-2002 and Excellent Mentor-2008. Prof. Shandilya has written five international-fame books and published over 50 quality research papers in international & national journals & conferences. Prof. Shandilya is actively steering the international conferences as Conference Chair and international journals as Reviewer & Coordinator. Prof Shandilya is an active member of over 20 international professional bodies. Prof. Shandilya is working as Principal Investigator on various research projects sponsored by Govt. of M.P. Prof. Shandilya achieved excellent result in all the subjects he has taught till date and renowned as best faculty of NRI Group of Institutes. He is also an excellent programmer and credited various software projects in his account. He is giving consultancy in IT to various MNC’s as Sr. Consultant. Apart from his technical & social achievements, he has coordinated and organized various national events which have provided the organization, a standard of repute. The All-India Youth Engineers Conference, AICTE sponsored Staff Development Program and National Children’s Science Congress are few among various technical events. |

Expert in the Engineering of Human Computer Interaction, more specifically in User Interfaces Plasticity (i.e., the ability of User Interfaces to adapt to the context of use while preserving user-centered quality). Associate Professor of Computer Science with the University of Genoa (Italy) and Adjunct Associate Professor with the Sbarro Institute for Cancer Research and Molecular Medicine, Temple University, Philadelphia (PA, USA). His past appointments include the Italian National Institute for Nuclear Physics, the Ansaldo Automazione Co., and the University of Pisa (Italy). He has been also a visiting scientist at University of Nijmegen (Holland), at the International Computer Science Institute in Berkeley (California), and at the Nice Sophia Antipolis University (France). Author of more than 140 scientific papers on Machine Learning, Neural Networks, Fuzzy Systems and Bioinformatics. Chair the Task Force on Neural Networks of the Technical Committee on Bioinformatics and Bioengineering of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, Co-Chair of the Special Interest Group on Bioinformatics of the International Neural Network Society, Vice-Chair of The Italian Chapter of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society. |

Jordi SOLÉ-CASALS SPAIN |
Prof. Jordi SOLÉ-CASALS received the Ph. D. degree with European label in 2000, and the B.Sc. degree in Telecommunications in 1995, both from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), Barcelona, Spain. In 1994 he joined the Department of Digital Technologies and Information (former Department of Electronics and Telecommunications) of the University of Vic, where he is currently the Director. He was Visiting Research with the GIPSA Lab (former LIS-INPG) in Grenoble (France), LABSP-RIKEN in Tokyo (Japan) and Brain Mapping Unit (BMU) in Cambridge (UK). Currently he continues these relationships with these laboratories. His research interests are in biomedical signal processing (EEG, fMRI, speech, biometric applications), neural networks, source separation and music signal |

Dr. Haikal EL ABED is a Senior Research Engineer at the Braunschweig Technical University, Germany. Since 2001, he has been working at the Institute for Communications Technology (IfN), Department of Signal Processing for Mobile Information Systems. He has specialized in image and signal processing, document analysis systems design and configuration, and Arabic/Latin manuscripts recognition. He coordinated different national and international research projects and is one of the developers of the IfN/ENIT-Database (used by more than 100 research groups from more than 30 countries). He organized the Arabic Handwriting Recognition Competition at the ICDAR 2005, 2007, 2009 and ICFHR 2010, and the Handwriting Competition and the Online Arabic Handwriting Competition at ICDAR 2009. He is competition co-chair at the ICFHR 2010 in India, ICDAR 2011 in China and ICFHR 2012 in Italia. He has organized different special sessions with the topics Arabic\Latin handwriting\printed recognition technologies on international conferences and was invited for different talks. He is member of technical committees’ different international workshops and conferences, including International Conference on Pattern Recognition (ICPR), IWCMC, and CSPA. He has more than 50 papers, including journal papers and book chapters. He is member of IEEE, DAGM, IAPR (TC-10 and TC-11), and VDE/VDI and a frequent reviewer for international journals, including the IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence and Pattern Recognition Letters. He is member of the technical program committee of different international conferences and workshops. |

Prof. Eric GREGOIRE holds a Master of Science of Engineering (Computer Science) ("Ingénieur Civil en informatique") and a Ph.D. ("Doctorat") from the University of Louvain (Belgium). He spent one year at UMIACS (University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies) before becoming an Associate Professor at the Rennes1 University in France. He was an invited scientist at INRIA before holding a permanent CNRS position at LORIA at Nancy. In 1993, E. Grégoire joined the "IUT de Lens" as a Professor and was in charge of creating the Computer Science Department. As a Professor in the Faculty of Sciences of the University d'Artois, he is the founding-director of the CRIL research centre ("Centre de Recherche en Informatique de Lens"). E. Grégoire has been a Vice-President of the University d'Artois, the Adjunct Scientific Director, in charge of the computing science domain, at the French Research Ministry and is now Scientific Advisor for the Mathematical and Computing Sciences in the same Ministry. |

Johnson I AGBINYA AUSTRALIA |
Dr. Johnson I AGBINYA is an Associate Professor of Remote Sensing Systems Engineering at La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia. He also holds an Adjunct Professor position in computer science at the University of the Western Cape South Africa and the French South African Technical Institute (FSATI) Pretoria, South Africa. Johnson was born in Nigeria. He comes from a practice-based research background through CSIRO Telecommunications and Industrial Physics where he was a Senior Research Scientist combining research and software and hardware implementation in biometrics and remote sensing. Johnson was Principal Engineer Research at Vodafone Australia and managed Vodafone's R&D projects in mobile and wireless communications networks and multimedia in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. He is widely published internationally in broadband wireless communications, vehicular networks, video and speech compression and coding, contributing to the development of Voice over IP at CSIRO and Ericsson's multimedia platform and Dillithium data transcoding for 3G at Vodafone Australia. He co-designed and developed the first cut and requirements for Vodafone Australia 3G network. He is author of six technical books Broadband Networks and IP Communications, pioneer of IB2Com conference and African Journal of ICT. Dr. Atul GONSAI, Ph.D., MCA, BBA is Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, Saurashtra University, Rajkot. Dr. Atul Gonsai has received his Ph. D degree in the field of Computer Science from the same University. He has also completed Master of Computer Applications (MCA) form the same Department in April 2000. He holds total teaching experience of Nine years. From early 1960’s and during about 20 years, he used to be a nuclear physicist. Very deeply concerned with the impact of 1970’s oil shocks, he moved to energy efficiency sciences in early 1980’s to build and implement European Energy–Efficient Office Technologies and Ecocampus (conscious environmental management of university campuses) R-D programmes. At the moment, he continues to be concerned with Sustainable Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technologies, a very promising and exciting part of the SETIT. |

Pr. Jean-Yves CHOUINARD received the B.Sc.A., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees from Université Laval, Laval, QC, Canada, in 1979, 1984, and 1987. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Space and Radio Communication Division, Centre National d’études des Télécommunications (CNET), Paris, France. From 1988 to 2002, J.-Y. Chouinard was a professor at the School of Information Technology and Engineering at the University of Ottawa. Since 2003 is with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Université Laval. His research interests are communications theory and applications, broadband wireless systems, and advanced broadcast technologies. He is co-editor of several books and book chapters on information theory, software reconfigurable MIMO wireless communication systems and OFDM-based mobile broadcasting. He has been the Publications Chair for the IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory and a General Co-chair for the Canadian Workshop on Information Theory. He is a Technical Program Co-chair for the upcoming 2012 Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC’2012 Fall) in Quebec City, Canada. He is also a Director of the Canadian Society of Information Theory (CSIT). He is an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Broadcasting. |

Pr. Christophe KOLSKI has obtained his Ph.D in 1989. He is professor in Computer Science at the University of Valenciennes (France) and head of the “Human-Computer Interaction and Automated Reasoning” research group in the LAMIH. He is involved in several research networks, projects and associations and is a referee for many scientific journals and conferences. He was the president of the organization committee of the CADUI'2002 conference, co-president of the scientific committee of the IHM'2003 & ERGO-IA'2006 conferences, co-organizer of the Ergo-IA’2009 and 2011 workshops. He is specialized in human-computer interaction, software engineering for interactive systems and intelligent system design. He is author or (co-)editor of several books, author or co-author of more than 50 articles in journals and numerous communications in conferences. He has edited recently two books: “Interaction homme-machine dans les transports - personnalisation, assistance et informations du voyageur » (in French, Hermes Science Publications, Paris, ISBN 978-2-7462-3010-1, 2010) and “Human-Computer Interactions in Transport (ISTE Ltd and John Wiley & Sons Inc., ISBN 978-1848212794, 2011). |
